Hugh Burnham, Lumina’s founder, brings more than 22 years of public and financial communications experience. He has counseled blue chip brands and Global 2000 companies and crafted media strategy for some of technology’s most respected brands and emerging leaders.
Hugh honed his skills at the world’s largest agencies, including Schwartz Communications, Weber Shandwick and Blanc & Otus; running public relations programs for large technology clients, including Compaq Computer. At Weber Shandwick, Hugh directed corporate M & A and IPO financial communications for a broad array of clients within the corporate and investor relations group.
A veteran of crisis and special situations communications, his clients benefit from his acumen in financial communications and his frequent placements in CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times and other prominent outlets. Directly prior to founding Lumina Communications, Hugh managed the New York office of Phase Two Strategies, where he managed the communications needs of enterprise software clients such as PeopleSoft and Sybase.
Born in Massachusetts, Hugh grew up in London, England. He graduated from Tufts University, and is fluent in four languages.
