Ben Merritt is a seasoned industry public relations veteran and former reporter. With over 25 years in the communications profession, Ben has written about and provided counsel to some of the most respected brands in technology. Before joining Lumina Communications, Ben was the founder of his own public relations firm Merritt Group, a nationally recognized and award-winning firm specializing in technology public relations and marketing.

Ben’s real passion is helping companies and organizations unlock their value through impactful storytelling. Ben has helped to build and elevate the brands of some of the industry’s most exciting companies including Verizon, Microsoft Federal, Teradata, Tableau Software, Check Point Software and a host of early to mid-stage emerging growth companies. With a keen eye for the story, honed from his years of experience as both a reporter and public relations professional, Ben has a sixth sense for how to create impactful media and communications strategies to turn today’s companies into tomorrow’s market leaders.

At Lumina Communications, Ben manages the New York Office, and acts as one of the agency’s principal architects to drive future growth and client service. In an ever fast-changing industry, Ben will bring his storytelling acumen to the Lumina team, helping companies to ensure their brands hit their mark. Ben is a Florida native, an avid fan of the University of Florida Gators, the proud Dad of three wonderful boys, and a reasonably accomplished saltwater fisherman.
